, pin ko lei geh? popo asked. (who’s this)

constance la… mami answered.

po, cham lo! nei mong gei ngo jo… (po, u forget me already)

inilah padahnya tidak menelefon popo for tiga weeks!

fyi, popo is diagnosed with a mild Alzheimers three years ago

that’s why her memory is deteriorating :(

but hor, last last time thing she can remember very well

like how i used to help her out at chapfan’s stall when i was a kiddo

and ate all da lala

like how popo’s mami sayang her

like how mami caned me when i was mischievous :p

like how da late yeye (grandpa) used to sayang me

and brought me to this chacansat to yamcha every morning without fail

like how yiyi (aunt) used to be so chubby

like how i used to cry out loud in a train when i was one month ol’

.

she’s so forgetful now

say we tell her this uncle is coming tomorrow

one minute later, she will ask,

when this uncle coming ar?

one minute later,

she will ask again

and keep asking da same question again and again and again and again…

until she sees this uncle in front of her

or until we tell her something again

.

last week she just underwent a minor cataract operation

i just can’t wait to go back home and peck her!
